We often refer to Nate as cartoon boy.  He absolutely loves cartoons and comics.  His favorite right now is the Bone series by Jeff Smith.  Our weekend started with Nate greeting us with these cartoon bubbles.

 Friday evening we went to the tree lighting ceremony.  Santa and his reindeer came for a visit.

 Hailey paid a visit to her favorite dogs. She would stand here all night and it was what we bribed her with to come out into the cold for this event. 

 

As we were driving on Saturday Eric and I had a discussion on whether or not this was a  Fata Morgana mirage in the distance or do the mountains really look like this?   

We spent the day buying a tree, doing house hold  chores, and  ice skating. We ended a perfect day by ordering pizza, starting a fire, turning on Christmas music and decorating the tree.
