First day of school
Last night when I went to tuck H. in bed she was reading a children's collection of stories by Shakespeare. She said she had "taken a fancy" to one of the poems and asked if she could read it to me. She started out "To be or not to be..." and read it through to me. She then said, "It just touched my heart". Shakespeare must be great if his words can touch the heart of a 10 year old.
First day of school
N. had almost one extra week of summer vacation. We used that time to practice his pitching and catching skills. Play Bingo, Battleship, Wits & Wagers, and tag. When playing with N. it is very obvious that he has been influenced by technology. When we play tag there is no "base" he just yells "I'm on pause". Once he asked me to throw him a fastball (as if I could) but just as I was winding up he stopped me and said "You can't throw a fastball. You haven't unlocked that capability yet."
