This summer Eric got to see what the top of the world looks like, when he visited Barrow, Alaska.  He has wanted to make this trip for awhile.    Many of the people who live here are Inupiat Eskimo.   I love listening to the Native Alaskan languages because they are beautiful.

Barrow is located in the Arctic circle. 

 Whale hunting is legal and necessary for subsistance hunters.  Eric was able to watch Beluga whale hunting on his trip.    

The ground is frozen tundra so buildings like this hotel are built off the ground.
